  1. If you buy the post your going to continue to buy it.  Everything is going up.  You need to just learn to accept it.

  2. I don't buy the Post everyday, but I do a few times a week especially on Wednesdays for the excellent Database (Tech) section and on  Thursdays and Fridays when the Post and Guru weekly magazines are included. I don't know if you know, but there's a fairly new tabloid type newspaper called the Xpress which is published by the Nation group. It's not a bad little paper and it's free. Between the internet and the Xpress I'll probably be be buying the Post less frequently, but will still buy it for the features and when there's important news to read about.

  3. Nope.  The typical reader of the Bangkok Post earns enough money money to shell out an extra 5 baht for the paper.  I would say that the circulation numbers will not be affected by the increase at all.  What helps is that there are no 25 baht coins.  If the price of the paper was the same denomination as a coin, even a 5 baht increase would impact circualtion.  However, since you have to have 1 bill and a coin, or at least 3 coins anyway, the psychological impact of perceiving a higher price is negated.

For what it is worth, the price of newspapers in Thailand is quite high when compared to western countries.  Even before the price increase.

  4. No I read it for free online.  How's that?
