Hi, can anyone please tell me if there will be something like an oceanarium in the new IRs? I tried searching for their plans online but can't seem to find it. So if you can please help me answer my question, that would be great! thanks in advance.

  1. If the original plans will push through, YES, there will be dolphins in the IR.

There have been reports that 18 dolphins from the Solomon Islands are awaiting to be delivered to Singapore.

However, Universal Studios has indicated that their theme park is not expected to have any Solomon Islands bottle-nose dolphins or any other type of dolphin or other marine animal and they will not have any involvement in other portions of the IR which may feature dolphins.

    About the oceanarium...

"Resorts World at Sentosa’s oceanarium programme offers guests the chance to admire dolphins up close, or dive with and feed menacing tiger sharks. A wading pool allows children and adults to venture in shallow water for close interaction with reef fishes and serves as an introduction to the wonderful but depleting coral reefs in the oceans."

"Resorts World at Sentosa will be home to Quest Marine Life Park, the world’s largest oceanarium. This is a one-of-a-kind marine park, with an emphasis on family fun, providing visitors of all ages with interactive multi-sensory experiences as they learn about and discover the life of marine creatures and the need for ocean conservation. The eight-hectare Quest Marine Life Park will be home to as many as 700,000 aquatic animals, including bat rays, DOLPHINS and the world’s largest collection of coral reef and open ocean fish. The marine park will also house a 6.6 million gallon lagoon that allows visitors the chance to snorkel and dive with whale sharks, the largest fish in the world that can grow up to more than 14 metres in length."

  3. It wont.

But why not you suggest to them before too late.

    They will welcome good ideas........

  4. I hope not.The only place for dolphins is the ocean. I think you hope in vain. These casino people are just not that creative to come up with original ideas that would set the Singapore Intergrated Resorts apart from the rest. The Oceanarium is a good one though.
