Will the ipod mini battery work in the ipod nano 1st gen?

I need to know if the ipod mini battery will work if I put it into an ipod nano 1st generation. Also, is it hard to open up the nano and is the battery easily to replace?

  1. You aren't supposed to do that. The batteries are soldered in, they aren't meant to be opened, and it will probably not work anyway.
