I assaulted my ex. I got served "Domestic Violence Temporary Order". The court date was 30 days away. I went and had it moved up to the 2nd.

What happens if he doesn't show? What happens if he does show? Will he get a restraing order for a yr like he is requesting?

  1. Well as long as you haven't had a history of doing it before or if the reason you assaulted him is clean then it will be hard to pin it on you.

BUT seeing hes your ex and you assaulted him I can only guess why, it can go either way and depends on many things.

  2. Most judges err on the side of granting the Order.

After all, if they are wrong, how are you harmed by staying away from someone?

On the other hand, if you are a vicious abuser and they DON'T grant it - there would be h**l to pay.

  3. probably 90 first then a year if he pushes it.it depends if you have a history.
