Will the light coming out of a bulb have the same effect just like sunlight?

  1. The same effect to produce what?  For plant growth, it has to match the spectrum of the sun.  To produce a tan, it has to emit IR.

    Your question needs refinement.


  2. no,not unless its a UV light

    edit: If you wanna grow plants indoors you should use a grow light (you can buy it at a hardware store) or a flourecent bulb.

  3. If the light u provide the plant to grow has the components which the plant need to absorb and carry out photosynthesis then the light will have the same effect.

                 But the bulb light have mainly infrared rays & from the components of light it have red component , it accounts very less for blue & green comp.

               So, definitely it will not have the sameeffect as the sunlight will have on green plants .
