  1. Miami is not the same economic market that NY is.. the city of NY and the metro area around it are what contribute so much to gross income of the teams like the mets and yankees. Miami jsut doesn't have the resources and fanbase to pull that off.

although it would be nice to see another large market team outside of the Northeast and California, the Marlins would need to drastically improve their fanbase and merchandising marketing..a year ago this team was rumored to be moving out of the state because it had too little support.

there is along way to climb to the top in the baseball ladder, and the marlins, if they want to, are going to need a miracle surge, consisting of years of good championship teams and a strong fanbase that continues for generations

  2. They probably wont be unless there is a change in owners b/c the marlins never like to spend crazy amounts of money which usually makes big teams not neccessarily winning ones

  3. Doubtful... their ownership really runs them exactly how they need to operate in the market - with the amount of attendance they get, they'll never get enough revenue to sign their players long term and build a dynasty.  They'll probably continue to have the occasional good year when a dozen prospects develop together, though.

  4. baseball is boring.

  5. Yes... just wait until they get their new stadium... They are gonna be the Yankees rivals... you will see.

  6. they're in the right spot just not a good team

  7. Not unless they move to a different city where fans actually appreciate them.

  8. Nope because The Phillies wont let them

  9. yes they are going to be great

first of all they hav maybin coming up next year

they hav some awesome hittings prospects in dominguez(3B), Stanton (RF), and Skipworth (C) who will all be up in 3 years or less

theyre rotation will be Andrew Miller, Josh Johnson, Anibal Sanchez, Chris Volstad, and Ricky Nolasco and if any of them dont pan out they hav backup in the minors

they will start to spend when the stadium comes in

they hav a lot to trade to fill spots that theyre in need of

they are going to be great

also they hav the 7th best tv ratings in baseball so the fans will come when they commit and get a new stadium, by the way ppl dont go to dolphin stadium because it doesnt have an amazing baseball atmosphere that most parks do, its sort of blah

  10. Never, Miami fans don't support them so how are people from other places including globally going to support them. I bet no one even knows they have won two world series titles.
