That's all they hype at the moment. Missing three games with an ankle injury - will it be enough to shatter the chances of Ablett winning? He was at nearly unbackable odds before he was injured.

  1. Does the media ever pick the winner? Has the favourite been the winner over the last few years? (I seriously can't remember. Having kids messes with your head.......)

  2. The media and the betting agencies are rarely correct! The Brownlow winner could very well be a consistant player in a bottom ladder side. Its happened before.

  3. I think if anyone is to beat Ablett for the medal it wont be Harvey.

I reckon it will be Collingwood's Leon Davis. He is also my cousin.

  4. Last I heard there's still 3 games left; That's 9 more votes for Gaz

  5. Jimmy Bartel missed two games last year and had it won by the end of round 21 in the counting.  If BH gets the votes he would be a deserving winner cos he is good. If Brent or Gary don't win it, Buddy might. Remember about Round 10 when the media were giving the gong to Matthew Richardson?  Dark Horse tip, Robert Harvey wins the Brownlow, and when that happens, Adelaide wins the flag.

  6. only 3 games? nahh that wont affect anything i dont reckon. Maybe its just a way to get more kangaroos supporters to their games, by building up hype that one of their players could win the brownlow.

Brent Harvey is a great player, but Gary Ablett is "ssppeeecciiaall"

  7. The media never pick a winner anyway, last year Gary Ablett was favourite and he ended up around fourth in the placings (If my memory is correct). Ablett is still in with a huge chance, I'm sure he has polled many votes before his injury so he can keep up with the other chances. Harvey is a great player, but Ablett is a whole class above him I think. It should be interesting...

  8. yes........................................

  9. No i think Ablett will still win it because only three games isn't that much. In 2003 james hird missed six games and finished third in the brownlow.

  10. I hope the media is correct. I'd hate to see that little baldy win the medal.

Gary Ablett Jnr is about half as good as people reckon he is.

GA Snr, though he had some ability, he was over-rated as well. One thing GA Snr was over-rated for was that he was one of the dirtiest players ever to pull on a boot.

  11. Black had all the hype, then it was Cooney, who won't win it. He's had a massive form slump, he wasn't good enough at the start of the year to afford to do that. I think Ablett will poll top 5, maybe not top 3. Harvey and Bartel would be in the top 5 too.
