  1.   You have to hand it to McCain for changing the political rhetoric. Sarah Palin and her family raises so many different emotions in people that it takes a crystal ball to see where it will all settle down in the next ten weeks. You have the image of a mother sending her son off to war. The unexpected grandmother. Someone who decided to keep a child with Down's syndrome. The mother of five (which is pretty unusual). The "first dude" husband. The working mother. The gun firing beauty queen. The muckraker. The oil industry tie in. The possibility that someone with almost no public opinion on foreign policy might be president.

      I think that the stories will be so contradictory, some praising her, some lambasting her, but most of them will be sound perplexed.

      It certainly fooled me. I really thought he was going to go with one of the three female Republican senators with 12 to 16 years of experience in the Senate. I was figuring on Kay Hutchinson. She was elected at the same time as Bill Clinton.

    age= 65.1 HUTCHISON, Kathyrn Ann Bailey (Kay)

    Married with two adopted children, Bailey and Houston.

    age= 61.5 SNOWE, Olympia Jean

    Married with no children.

    age= 55.7 COLLINS, Susan Margaret

    Never married, no children.

  2. I hope so.

  3. She seems to be doing a pretty fair job all by herself. Ah the hypocrisy of the "family values" party.

    What exactly does the media have to do with it?

  4. I don't think so, but hopefully they will tear down the wall of hyperbole that the Republicans have put up in trying to justify choosing a totally unqualified person to be first in line to the presidency simply to placate the delusional right wing religious fanatics.

  5. the more it does, the more sexist it will look and it will hugely backfire.

  6. Yes I believe they will try to tear her down, because they are scared to death that she will influence voters to vote republican.  Some people will try to blame her for her daughter being pregnant, which is laughable because those same people thought it was horrible that anyone condemn Clinton for his marital infidelities.  They said it was nobody's business.  But I guess that only applies when you criticize Democrats for their own actions, and not when you criticize Republicans for someone elses.

  7. Palin's frisky daughter tore her down.
