  1. Yes, if they buy tickets to the games,  but I still say Arizona Diamondbacks will represent the National League in the WS & I wouldn't mind seeing the Mets in the WS but I just don't see it happening & this is just my opinion

  2. I don't think they will. They're bullpen has been pretty shaky with Wagner hurt, and Philly is playing pretty consistent ball right now. It's still too early to tell. They're only up 1.5 games on Philly with two games left to play with them, so I think it's really going to come down to who can pull it off in those two games. Not that I have anything against NY, I just think the WS is pushing it this year.

  3. probally not now but im sure they will eventualy

  4. They could, if their bullpen gets better, over 30 blown saves throughout 2008 season! With Billy Wagner and his injuries and the Cubs, Dbcks, Phillies and Dodgers in their way in the NL and the Rays, Angels, White sox, and Twins in the AL. The Mets year is NOT in 2008. If they get some good bullpen in the Free Agency or in the Minors, 2009 or 2010 will probably be their year

  5. No, not this year.

  6. No they won't.  Cubs would beat them in 6 games.

  7. they wont

  8. No, they will not. I am a Braves fan, but will root for the Mets as soon as we are out of the race. But they will lose in the postseason, if they make it that far.

  9. We have a great rotation and a lineup that can match any NL lineup. The only flaw is the bullpen. However, in the playoffs we only need 4 starters. So hopefully with one of our starters/Ayala/Feliciano/Smith/Shoeinwei...

Heilman (gulp) and maybe newly acquired Al Reyes can help us get there. I really think Wagner might be out for the year, but we are Met Fans, we are usually faced with obstacles like these, gotta believe! 2008 MLB Champs!

  10. im a met fan myself. i can see us going to the world series but what i think is going to happen is that they will lose to the cubs or brewers in the NLCS.

  11. Yes.. their lineup when ryan church gets back is by far the best in the mlb.. reyes=best shortstop wright=best thirdbaseman.. just all around best lineup and feilding.. when it gets to mets starters.. we have johan santana... pedro martinez.. john maine... oliver perez...mike pelfry... when in the playoffs... which is probable with a 2 and a half game lead on philly and us being hot as ever.. the mets will have one of those starters in the bullpen due to a 4 man rotation... that will help our bullpen a lot and by playoff time.. mets have wagner healthy and already pitching for a month... id say mets angels world series mets win in six

  12. go ..defintely a possibility..win that is a different story...jerry manuel has turned this team around..he is not afraid to call players out and or bench or show any other kind of emotion needed to win in this league..the mets have had there share of injuries and are still at 70 wins for the year...if they get key guys back such as wagner and church (who is suposed to be back tomorrow) they are looking very strong..i think this team will win the nl east and not blow it like last year because this year they have a SOLID # 1 starter leading the starting rotation ranked 2nd in the nl or mlb not sure which one...so playoffs i definitely think yes...world series ..possibly..cubs have zambrano and harden yes and brewers sabathia and sheets ..but the mets have santana and pedro and any one of the young rising stars left in the rotation with maine and perez who seem to pitch well when it counts and also pelfrey who leads the team in wins..as for world series..if the ycan make it ...it will surely be an exciting series...

  13. Absolutely....NOT.  The Cubs are the team to beat.  The Cubs will mop them up in the playoffs if they meet.

  14. No sorry

  15. No way.  The Mets are a first place team that plays like a middle of the pack team.  So why are they in first?  Because the Phillies and the Marlins suck just as bad.  I say this as a Phillies fan, and it's true.  The East has been playing some terrible baseball since the break.  Only one team from this division will make the playoffs, and if this team continues playing like they are right now then they won't make it very far.  Sad, but true.
