Longest the front batting line gain runs for about 20 overs then, Chamara Kapugedera, Chamara Silva, Tilakaratne Dilshan, & rest shall be better prepared for massive runs only & lead SL for an 4th ODI victory.

Amen,

  1. they show very bad batting performance

  2. If the openers played 10 overs then the chances of SL middle order to perform well are very high, but if they don't deliver then the pressure will cascade on other batsmen which will result in collapse of SL batting order.

We must appreciate Zaheer, Munaf and Praveen's efforts for their consistent bowling.

  3. r u Indian ..

den, don't try 2 bother so much..

    ok i'll answer..

Yes ... It will b succesful

  4. I do not think so.Srilankan line up lol

  5. its will be a great idea if they try following ,..lol~

,.. but De Mel & selectors are too pumpkin heads to realize that,.. that's why they got rid of best opener of sri lanka Marvan Atapattu~its better Sangakkara should come No.03 pisition, and Warnapura or Tharanga come with Sanath jayasuriya,

to open the innings,..& 4 bowlers are enough in ODI matches for them as Sanath fills the 5 th spot~

    cheers~

  6. no

  7. yeah they just play without taking any responsibility. just wanna attack.

  8. They may come good.

  9. Yes. I think that India will thrash Sri Lanka again.

    Chak De India.

  10. Dambulla proved to be helpful while batting second.

Colombo appears to be easier to bat first.

India were fortunate to win the toss so far.

It will be interesting to see when SL wins toss and bats first.

I feel that SriLanka should play Warnarura as opener to allow Sangakkara come at his usual no 3 position.

  11. middle order?

Firstly, Sangakarra should not be openning the batting. He is the man behind the stumps, do you expect him to be in full concentration behind the stumps for 50 overs and then come and open the batting and stay in for as long as he ussually does? It's not going to happen.

We need a young openner, preferably Warnapura, i watched him in the test matches and he looks like an excellent openner for ODIs as well as test matches, from what i saw i reckon he looked more of an ODI openner.

Secondly, our batsmen have big problems against pace, bounce and swing. Sri Lanka cricket as whole must address this problem. That's why we don't do so well on Australian pitches. Practice makes perfect, we're growing young cricketers, we need to grow them so they are exposed to pace, bounce and swing.

Thirdly, it's pressure. Mentally i don't think our batting line up is stable. It's quite fragile, when a few early wickets go all hope is lost and we don't seem to find our way back. We have a batting line up of 11, we need to use that to our advantage, when six batsmen get out the team should not crumble and fall.

All of the above faults can be fixed. Sri Lanka can win this series. But the batsmen MUST pick themselves up if we are to have any chance at all.

  12. I think the middle order for Sri Lanka were too agressive. 4/50 - you don't want to get out. Yet, the Sri Lankans were still belting the ball around the place. Instead of rebuilding they tried to counter attack and failed. They should've played more like the skipper Mahela Jayawardene.

Also im really annoyed with Chamara Silva being in the team. I can't remember the last time he actually scored a 50. He needs to be dropped as he continually fails. Give chances to other more deserving players!
