my Green anole just laid an egg, but I'm kind of worried if she is going to eat it! the mother and the father take turns hunting so they are pretty busy watching over the egg, and hunting for the crickets we give to them. Should we put the egg into a separate aquarium, or should we keep the egg in there and let the mother take care of it???

  1. They won't eat the egg but the hatchling that emerges could be in danger. You can just move the egg into a small clear plastic container with some damp moss and small air holes and keep that container in the same spot in the adult enclosure. Keep the egg in the same upright position when you move it, don't rotate it.

  2. yes i would take the egg out

  3. They won't eat the egg, but they will eat the baby when it hatches.

  4. Remove it. The mother and father could damage the egg. It seems mean to take it out, but in the end when there baby is safe, The parents wont care ^__^

Using rubber gloves, as gently as you can* remove the egg and keep it in a sperate container (Rubbermaid, GLAD, Any cheap plastic container)
