Question:

Will the music I download from itunes work with all brands of mp3 players?

I want to download itunes but I'm not sure if the music I download will be compatible with my RCA mp3 player. I've heard that ipods can be pain when it comes to any sort of cross platform compatibility. This makes me wonder if the itunes mp3's have some kind of coding that makes them only compatible with itunes.

Any advice on itunes or on an even better digital music store would be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

  1. ya and most (or all) music files you buy from iTunes are DRM-Protected, which means you cant convert them using iTunes or any other software, you would have to download a DRM remover software first

    for example try this one:

    http://tunebite.com/en/remove_drm/index....

once the drm is removed, you can use iTunes to convert it to mp3

  2. Itunes are in the AAC format and they only play on ipods. You can buy itunes plus songs that aren't protected and then use those on other players. Itunes will not sync any player except an ipod.

  3. http://www.flickrmusic.com  is sure the best place to download from the Internet., especially since the databases are so huge, downloads easy, and I was provided with all burning software I needed.. I love this site

  4. music files from itunes are drm-laden. in order to play them on mp3 players other than ipod and iphone, you need a special program to help strip off the protection and convert the itunes m4p, m4b, m4a music to mp3. i always use tuneclone. my friend introduced it to me. it automatically generates a virtual cd burner, with which the music files can be converted at very high speed.

you can learn more about it from:
