  1. No it will not.  Its just gonna be like the 40 gigs except it will be 80


  2. No, the newer 80GB PS3 model will not have backwards compatibility with PS2 games. It will not have any Flash Card Readers and it will have 2 USB ports.

    The newer 80GB PS3 is basically just a 40Gb PS3 with a larger hard drive because it will have the same features as the 40GB PS3, but with just a larger hard drive.
