Smarter Maybe but not necessarily wiser, their is a huge difference. Naturally we grow it's evolution but what we grow to is the questions.

Just my opinion but I don't think babys need to be talked to like some people do to their pets, they may be small and young humans but they are still humans and can comprehend basic things the first or second time they are said. I think the repetition of these shows may lead to dependence on repetition later in life.

I really think preschool helps, they start teaching the basics colors, shapes, letters. I really just gives kids a head start on learning.

They certainly will know more at age 5 then their parents before them.  Their parents knew more at age 5 then their parents.  When these children are parents, their 5 year old will know more than they did....it's a fact of life.  Nothing to do with baby Einstein....

no.  interactions and an enriched environment with a variety of experiences breeds smart children.  Not marketing from Baby Einstein companies (although they are convincing huh)
