  1. The trick with Vista (32) is to try it and see, if it doesn't work then uninstall it and find something that does work.

    A lot of software that was built for Windows 98 and/or XP does run on a Vista 32bit OS.  

    Saying that, pretty much nothing that hasn't been specifically written/compiled for 64bit will run under Vista 64.

    just get k-lite mega codec pack ( free... google it ) and you can play DVD's with Windows Media Player

  4. i just use VLC player, (google it) and it works on every version of windows i have had so far, even vista.
