  1. yes people will keep increasing. soon we'll be overrun by billions of them as new cures, preventional steps, etc, are advanced and used to save more people. more people saved=more people reproducing=more people overall. as technology advances, so does our numbers. i think eventually people will overpopulate the planet so terribly that we will have to cut back on many resources. there will be mass chaos and suffering. but that's my pessismism *coughrealismcough* talking, so maybe we'll find a way to share and care. but no population control for us, i'm sorry to say. let's just wait for the sun to explode. nice lennon joke, truly. ^_^

  2. Hopefully the Poleshift will hit on Dec,23 2012,and reduce the population to 100,000 world wide. Then maybe man will have a chance to this time start out right. No Hate,No wars,no religons.

  3. Earth has a carrying capacity.  Populations can't just keep growing indefinitely.  With larger populations, there is a higher threat of mass epidemics (because of population density), as well as simply running out of resources (famine, etc).  Technology can only take us so far.  Most scientists believe we are over carrying capacity now, meaning that we cannot continue to live this way sustainably..

  4. Nothing will happen, it will just go on and on.

Someone ilustrated it in a nice way:

It's like blowing air into a balloon.

The last 100 times we did nothing happened, the balloon only increased in size, why shouldn't it go on this way?

What will happen we don't know yet.

    There are many possible scenarios:

1st - The increasing starvation will make people move to other countries and this means our countries. We can kill 1000nds of them we can kill millions of them, but there are more. We all have seen war about oil (well some blind people didn't and never will see anything that might scare them).

Now imaginge a war on water. The ones that have the water have also tanks and machine guns, but the other side has really nothing to loose.

2nd - A global disease. The spanish flu killed more people than WW1 and it was harmless. Bacterias are becomming more and more imune due to large scale use of antibiotica.

If it comes to viruses think of AIDS virus that can spread like the flu can.

3rd - One might push the button. It's simple as that.

One of these things will happen for sure, but we can't tell when. The ongoing pollution of our environment just makes it happen sooner.

  5. haha I just to have this question too. Actually the answer for this is NO. We can see in most nations of the world that the rate of increasing population has been reduced in the last decades. This is due Birth rate controls and also many consider this as a consequence of development in many countries. When there is more development, the rate of growing population reduces. So dont worry man haha

  6. Give it time, nature will kick in and reduce the population by introducing some new drug resistant disease. Until then we're stuck with relying on warfare to bring numbers down to a managable level.

  7. YES. The carrying capacity of Earth depends completely on the ability of humans to adapt to the increased population. 6.5 billion is far fewer than was predicted just 50 years ago. We should be beyond the carry capacity of Earth if you went by the predictions of the 1950-60's. It appears we have adapted since then. I would guess we have a long ways to go population wise before we have reached a place of "to many people".  There will be problems in the world but population has a long ways to grow before sustainability is gone

  8. i never thought the population would grow that much because i all ways thought that when a baby was born a person died and so the population wouldn't grow to be that large but that is only what i thought,i guess i was wrong

  9. It depends on the natural calamities like the Asian Tsunami It killed more than 225,000 people in eleven countries and it also depends of how humans live.^^

  10. It will keep growing until World War 3. You see there is a huge probability that there is going to be a third world war. Think about it. India vs pakistan, Usa vs middle east. Russia vs usa. north korea vs usa. inter european conflicts. inter african conflicts. I think we (Usa) are going to be screwed because we have the most enemies out of anyone in the world. What makes WW3 worse is that almost all countries (exception of african continent) have nuclear weapons. That would make this a mass destruction war. Countries will be dropping nukes after nukes on other countries killing MANY MANY people. The population definetly decline. Also the diseases we have going on. AIDS, SARS, Malaria, Typhoid, ect. is going to balance everything else out. On top of that, there's civil wars going on in many countries, especially the African continent which kills many of their own.
