  1. No, not at all. u will get grocery shops at every corners of roads. so people prefers to buy from the shops directly. or in big cities people buy from the general stores/supermarkets. Buying grocery items through internet in India is not popular.

Moreover, for these most of people should have net connection in their home.

  2. Yes, in india pleople buy things online ..but branded only..

  3. they will........surely

only if money is paid after the receipt of the goods(grocery products)

  4. No No No Because :

    1. Mostly bought by housewives who are not net savvy

    2. Grocery in India is not branded and hence difficult to sell on-line

    3. Provisions as it is called in India is highly subjective and the housewife has to see the rice , wheat or pulses before they buy.

    4. After purchase the lady want an option to return if she does not like the taste etc.

    5. Branded packages goods are more likely to sell on-line

    6. The relationship between the housewife and the kirana store runs for decades and quick change of loyalty is unlikely.

  5. how would you ship them - people need the food right away - not waiting days for it to be delivered and only non-spoilable (packaged/canned) items could be sold that way, so they would still have to go to the store to get fresh food, so what would be the point of ordering online if they have to go to the store anyway - it didn't work in the US with delivery service
