  1. Prime time pitcher? No, they won't. They'll make a run at the big time guys like Sabathia and Bedard, but they don't have the horses to make a deal like that work. Teams like the Dodgers (who were reported today as being interested in Sabathia and are willing to give three top tier MLB ready prospects) have much more to give. The Phillies don't have any MLB ready prospects. Golson is close, but he has finally just started coming around this year. Marson and Carrasco have drawn interest but they aren't MLB ready as both guys are young and need more seasoning.

    The best case scenario for the Phillies is they get a #3 or #4 type starter who can be a stop gap option for them.
