  1. amazon is already having a half off sale. if they don't move it will turn into a 75% off sale

  2. retail prices will come down as stores try to clear out thier HD-DVD products, they will want to get that stuff out to make more room for Blu-Ray. the secondary market (eBay and similar) will probably stay about the same, some may even get higher. A lot of people are keeping their HD-DVD players and since the discs will not be available in stores soon, they will turn to the secondary markets to try to buy them driving the prices of some discs up for several years. But then they will gradually die out as well.

  3. I believe that HMV are already clearing out HD-DVDs with a 3 for 2 offer.

As for becoming collectables deffinitly not. Movies wil be reproduced on Blu-ray and have loads of extras and stuff to tempt everyone.

  4. Costing more because they're collectibles is asinine.  As far as sales go, when things are phased out, prices drop.  Think clearance.

Hey guys, I'll sell you some $50 VHS tapes.  No?

  5. i would think the price would rise since they won't make them anymore. they will be collectables.

  6. not really. they will become collectables now.
