Will the price of the MacBook Air go down by Christmas ?

my mom is looking to buy my brother one for Christmas, but doesn't know if she should get the hassle out of the way now and buy it, or if it will go down in price any before Xmas ?

apple doesnt really bother with the christmas  rush the only time the price wil go down is when  they plan to release a newer model and want to get rid of old stock
