  1. well they did at this years British Grand Prix

  2. Usually, yes. They will just do a shorter routine that doesn't go above cloud-level. I think they would stop if the conditions for cloud and rain were too dangerous though.

I hope that they fly on saturday, I'm going to RIAT at Fairford and I can't wait :)   xx.

  3. i watched the red arrows at raf cosford a few year ago, it was raining not heavy but slight drizzle they do a show called a low show under the rain clouds, so if cloud base is say 2000 ft thtas as high as they will go,hope this helps, depends on certain conditions, good luck

  4. All display teams are aware that adverse weather may upset their schedule, leading even to a cancelled show. There is, however, a version of the display which caters for slightly inclement weather conditions, which are not enough to call off the show. This sequence may not cover the entire range of aerobatics and the various displays, yet consists of enough sequences to keep the show alive and keep the spectators from total disappointment. This bad weather sequence, nonetheless, is flown within even tighter safety parameters (as compared to the regular version) keeping visibility/cloud base/winds as the main considerations. This back-up diluted show is practiced with the same professionalism and precision as the main display.

The 'bad weather' version is practiced mainly when displays are planned for grand ceremonial occasions, where a bit of display would convey the spirit of the occasion rather than go without it totally.

So a bit of rain, good visibility and a safe cloud base should not deter the Red Arrows from performing.

  5. Usually unless it's very heavy.

  6. don't see why not, unless it's heavy forecast and is likely to cause problems. But they should fly, seen them perform in the wet at southampton

  7. They can display in any weather condition providing the cloudbase is not too low.

  8. Depends on the visability.

  9. Probably if its not really heavy. I think it depends more on how windy it is and how low the cloud is. Hope you see them!!

  10. it depends on how bad the weather is if its a little drizzle they will still perform but if its strong wind and heavy rain they probably wont perfom
