I am feeling like my house is more infested they I thought at first. I've live in my house 5yrs and have never delt with this in my life. My husband notice the first one in the bathroom about 3 weeks ago, killed it and moved on. Then a few days later another a smaller one in the bedroom next to the bathroom, where we feed the dogs and give them water. The next day I saw 2 more in the of the smaller ones by the dogs food in the same room. That was Tuesday.

That day we laid boric acid EVERYWHERE, cleaned our kitchen, opened closets etc. While taking our drawers and cloths outside and unfolding socks we find BABY ONES. Needless to say we know they are mainly in the bedroom. We vaccumed, cleaned, laid boric acid and left the house with the dogs, and have not been there to stay since. I use Raid fumigators 3 on each floor. My house is 2100sq ft. The next day I fumigated the bedroom alone and closed the door. The day after that, I put one fumigator in each room and closed the door. Except for the bedroom I pur 2. Most of what died the first day were the babies, the next day some adults and the last time 2 adults. I feel I'm not seeing enough dead adults and Terminx is coming out Monday. What else can I do? Keep bombing in addtion to Terminx? What should I ask the exterminator when he comes out? How many more do I really have? HELP!!

  1. It sounds like you are taking the right steps to exterminate them but you may need two or more treatments. Keep on cleaning up, remove paper clutter, make sure that the floors and counters are free of food, and keep those floors extremely clean too.

My brother-in-law bought a fixer-upper condo that was infested and he needed the exterminator to come twice before they were gone on top of treating it himself and doing the above.

  2. And so say all of us

  3. Nice to Meet You has already given the answer I was about to give. But in addition, just keep in mind that roaches are very hardy creatures and they are difficult to get rid of. The treatments you did are a good start and Terminix may need to come out more than one time--your exterminator will tell you what they need to do.

If you don't already have one, get one of those big plastic containers to put your dog food in--they have them at Target (and other stores) and you can put up to the 40 pound bag in it, so the food is less accessible and attractive to pests.

Also make sure you can keep your dogs elswhere if they can be affected by the treatments. Exterminators know how to do their treatments without affecting pets, but make sure they stay out of the boric acid.

  4. call a professional exterminater and keep your home clean no trash out at night no left over dishes ect..I might take some time

  5. trust the exterminators is your best bet. also, is the boric acid stuff or whatever else you're using harmless to your dogs? if they're not then good :D but i do hope your house is roach free soon :| i know if it were me, id FREAK AND SCREAM. yes i am extremely bug-o-phobic :P haha well good luck with everything

  6. Call the exterminator.
