  1. A lot of cities plant sycamore trees along residential streets.  They ooze clear sap gown on cars, it just covers the clear-coat shine.  It's as if your car has a matte finish.  I was never able to get it off with bug & tar remover or anything else.

  2. yes

  3. it very well could u should move the car out from under that tree to be safe

  4. it will probably take some paint off

  5. it can

  6. Use rubbing alcohol, it comes off pretty easy. After the sap is gone clean the area with windex. It's that easy.

  7. It will eventually.  Use a bit of gasoline on a rag to scratch/wipe away.  Don't scratch with anything harsher than your thumbnail.  Make sure the gas dries up and doesn't dull your paint.

  8. Tree Sap that is from a conifer (evergreen) is very bad.  When you distill tree sap, you get pitch (tar) and Turpentine.  Turpentine is used as paint thinner.  This is why tree sap is bad for fresh paint because some of the paint is not fully cured.

  9. it will if it dries

  10. If it sits and dries yes definitely

buy some goo gone and take it off asap...

  11. sap can eat away at the paint, so if i were you.. i'd take precautionary measures and keep the car away from potential sap. theres a website that i found.. here..

Wash it off as much as you can if you have no choice but to park your car there. (I'm having the same issue in my driveway myself.)
