  1. I was just reading about it ... No .. it won't be visible from Oklahoma ... you'd have to go into northern Canada to see it.

    No, absolutely none of Friday's eclipse is visible from anywhere in the lower 48, except for a tiny brush of a partial eclipse in far northern Maine.

    The next solar eclipse Oklahomans can see is on May 20, 2012, when a partial eclipse is starting just before the sun sets in western OK, but tantalizingly, the sun goes down before much of the solar disc can be covered.

    If I were you, I'd make plans to go to Kansas or Missouri, where there will be a total solar eclipse August 21, 2017.
