  1. Asked Anthony Smith, he makes good prediction.. he knows it for sure..

  2. if they can get past THAT schedule, they can do anything they want!!!

  3. My advice is to bet the farm that they won't. They will have a tough enough time to even make the playoffs.

  4. Steelers have depth and they have a great defense. If Troy P. stays healthy and some one other than Hines Ward can step up as a receiver ( I'm not sold on Sweed) then they have a viable chance.

  5. no.

  6. Not this year buddy, the NFL already know who will win the superbowl.

  7. They have an incredibly tough schedule , if they win the superbowl , they have truly earned the title of world champions. I'm a steeler fan also & I will feel as if its a successful season if they win the division. GO STILLERZ!!!

  8. They're got a really difficult schedule.  They have to play New England, San Diego, the whole AFC South, and the whole NFC East (8 out of 10 non-division games against playoff teams from last year).  Then, there's the 6 rivalry games inside the division.

Faneca is no longer in Pittsburgh (he left for the Jets, where he will be protecting Brett Favre).  However, Pittsburgh's biggest addition was Rashard Mendenhall, who was considered the most complete running back in this year's draft.

They've also upgraded the backup QBs, drafting Oregon QB Dennis Dixon (who had a dominant year last year until he tore his ACL) and signing Byron Leftwich.

Pittsburgh remains a very good team and might be able to win the division at 8-8 or 9-7 (although it is possible that any of the other teams in the division could challenge).  As the Giants and the 05 Steelers showed, if you make the playoffs, you can win the Super Bowl.

I would say San Diego is the favorite at the moment due to Brady's lingering foot injury (he injured his foot during the playoffs last year, it lingered all offseason, and as a result, he has missed all 3 preseason games) and the knee injury to Peyton Manning (he's had at least 1 surgery and a report says he's recently had a 2nd surgery).

  9. Sorry not this year. The Steelers need to go through the Baltimore Ravens first and that's not going to happen!!

  10. No, they have a really tough schedule and a shaky offensive line got worse with the departure of Faneca, I wouldn't be shocked if they had a down year and missed the playoffs.

  11. I have faith in them, i believe they can, there an amazing team.
