  1. they will have enough i hope for 40 cars with the 800 extra that is already 5 sets... plus they started with 14 and have 6 left....they could borrow what is left from nationwide and truck series i think....

edit: okay so most are having 4 or 5 sets left and at 2 sets left they will give them pocono tires as needed... so they should have tires for they end... because they got 800 tires from pocono so like a said before for 40 cars that is 5 more sets... so that is a possible 10 more sets

  2. Probabley not, poor matt kenseth was lucky , it could have been worse.

  3. they brought the ones that go to pocono next week

  4. Teams received 10 sets for the race.  That is all Goodyear had.  Some teams (like Elliott Sadler) saved sets from practice.  He started with 13 sets.

Goodyear has brought in the tires for Pocono to use if they run out.  But, the catch here is if 1 team runs out and needs to use the Pocono tires, ALL the teams have to switch.

Racing the Pocono tire opens up a whole new set of issues.  The Pocono tire is a faster tire (different compound) and this will cause the cars to run about 5 MPH faster with higher RPMs.  The engine builders are concerned about the engines lasting under the extra RPMs.

  5. no they will need to ditch there cars and run on foot

  6. they will find a way to have enough trust me, this is nascars fault not the teams. Im definetly with tony stewart dump goodyear and go hoosier!!!!!!

  7. Jay is right.  Goodyear brought in tires that were suppose to be used for Pocono.  I suppose it is the least they could do to salvage their already dying reputation.

  8. The 88 team has 3 sets and a set of scuffs left. , the 84 and the 31 have 4 sets. Most teams are in the same boat. I doubt they will have enough to finish on the tires planned for use at this track.

  9. They won't have enough Indy tires for sure, but they are allowed to use Pocono tires when they run out. I remember a few years ago when the tire situation was serious and at one track (I think it was this one) a few car owners were bargaining with other car owners whose drivers were already out of the race to buy the tires that they had left. I remember it getting over $100,000 for a set of tires. It was crazy.

  10. The Goodyear dude just interviewed said they are bringing some back-up tire out right now, seeing which teams needs extra tires. What a loony toon. I'm sure the drivers are ecstatic at going 185 on the straight ways. I'll bet Matt Kenseth is over joyed right now.

  11. I know they gave them one extra set...dont think itll matter....

  12. Hopefully they have spares from a different track....I wonder what goodyear will have to say?

  13. They probably at Tire Mart now..how stupid is this???..One of the most prestigious races of the year and it's being turned into a tire test!

  14. i think they get 20 sets

  15. haah probably not some teams are down to 4 sets but i think you get like 15 or 16 sets
