Let's just say..........there are many bloodlines that come into play, how many will actually find those documents to prove who they are - is the real question.  How many documents have to be hidden for the safety of those lines..

If the catholic faith changed so that the Pope had little power over the members of the faith then it could be possible to have a catholic monarch but the monarch of the UK is also head of the Church of England so this could be difficult to negotiate.

What the question should really be is when are the Royalty going to stop being Anti Catholic we are not in the 15 Century its 2008, why can't a Catholic sit on the throne?? IE Kate Middleton changing her faith to marry Wills!.

A snowball's chance in h**l... there are no direct male line Stuart descendants with anything like a serious claim, and far too many junior of female transmitted descendants to make out who would be the better pretender.

Plus, how will you make the brits renounce the 1701 articles of devolution that specifically bar catholics from the throne?

and anyway, what sensible catholic nobleman would want to rule as a powerless figurehead over a mostly pretestant country?
