  2. Make sure this University has a program that will offer you support for your learning disability.

  3. if you meet their admission requirements and have a general diploma (a real one) of a GED... yes

and they are supposed to give you the same accomodations you had in high school under Section 504 of the rehabilitation act...

my brother got extra time on test, note takers, tutors, etc... for college...

it depends on your level of need.. and often community college is a good place to start if you need a lot of support, or check out what public colleges are more willing to work with your needs.. some here do a much better job then the high schools

but if you have your heart set on that college, you can make it work...

  5. Yes, as long as you can perform their standard college work at the standard college speed of other admitted students.

Under the ADA, all publically-funded colleges and universities cannot bar people from admission merely because they also happen to have a disability (and/or an IEP).

However, unlike the k-12 environment (which is required to accept and educate every student regardless of disability severity), post-secondary education only is required to provide 'reasonable accomodation'.

It does not have to  admit/accomodate everybody with a disability wanting to get a college degree--because it does not have to admit/accomodate everybody without a disability wanting to obtain a college degree,

Also, a post-secondary campus does not proactively come and identify a student who might need disability accomodation services, the college student  must instead research and be the one who approaches the campus accomodations office for assistance--both initially and then the subsequent semesters when the appropriate accomodations services will be needed.

    Good luck
