Will the value of pilots get low in the futur ?

In the futur, pilots will do nothing but sit down and watch the instruments while the computers will do everything ?? At that time , will an airline pilot be like a taxi driver or something ?? Thank you.

Many airline pilots feel they are already taken out of the equation for the most part.

However, general aviation is still available and a thrill. The fun of flying an aerobatic airplane or a Piper Cub will never be matched by a flight simulation.

But with the fuel crisis, there will be more
