  1. the world wont end even though the way things are going now it would seem like it's going to.  We're just going to keep having more and more problems.

  2. nooooo i don't think soooooooo

  3. Well not of course..

because researches are being carried out to find an appropriate source of energy which can be used in our day to day life in place of oil...

  4. No, we will simply render down the overweight and use the fat as a form of fuel.

  5. Yes of course it will. We will have nothing to cook our chips in, and every body will die a slow grizzly death.

NOT REALLY, we will live on and use other energy sources to run our societies, altogh making plastic may become tough. In many ways we may be better off though.

  6. Absolutely not. Nicola Tesla , at the very dawn of the 1900's had already hypothesised a model for clean, free , unlimited energy. The sad truth is that there ARE literally hundreds of other sources of energy that the world could impliment that would easily, and cheaply fuel the globe. The trouble is that the big oil companies have supressed most of the research and companies involved in these applications. I'm not talking from a conspiracy theorist's point of view but from someone who has been involved in an alternative fuel company(cannot name for legal reasons) and seen how oil companies perform hostile takeovers of them and then "put them on the shelf",  never to be heard from again.

In conclusion, when crunch-time comes, the powers that be will be forced into either using Nicola's suppressed principle which has alledgedly been proven, or use alternative power that has been so neglected ( Wind, solar, hydro, electric etc).

a fuel/ power crisis cannot ever possibly exist unless politically motivated or caused by human intent, since the power will always be there.

  7. think of new possibilities that we will accomplish along the road to disaster oil will still be around for many ,many years.i saw a documentary on new fuels and you'll be surprised what people are coming up with,,but sure things are going to get alot worse before they get better ..im 27 and i remember oil been 25 dollars a barrel so let them keep control until our focus is really in the middle east they control everything..

  8. i dont think its gonna end but its going to cause alot of commotion and problems but if we get it fixed in time well be fine

  9. There will be a lot of wars related to oil, however I do not beleive the world will "end" as such. As the Cold War prove, nuclear weapons will most likely never be used in war as there can be no winner. Therefore the world will just find other methods of transport and fuel, which are currently being worked on. like Hydrogen Power and Electric

  10. It depends on whether or not we can find a sustainable and reliable alternative energy source first. At the moment we have several alternatives to fossil fuel, but none have yet (despite what you may hear) got the proven ability to match oil as a practical source of energy on a global scale. Therefore there are two scenarios:

    1. We find an energy source to match oil. In this case society and the world as a whole will probably keep on going the way it is now

    2. We don't find an energy source to match oil. In this case the resulting shortage of energy would likely lead to a period of decline as oil runs out. The global population may shrink to a point where the demand once again matches the supply. It is also likely that we would have to learn to live much more efficiently, or trade in certain luxuries that we take for granted today, such as personal transport, air conditioning, some consumer electronics, etc. The point is, life goes on!

So the world won't end, but it will change

  11. No.

  12. WE WILL NEVER RUN OUT OF OIL

At least not in a physical sense. There will still be oil in the ground 10 years from now, and 50 years from now and 500 years from now. This will hold true no matter if you take a pessimistic or optimistic view about the amount of oil still available to be extracted. Let's suppose that the supply really is quite limited. What will happen as the supply starts to diminish? First we would expect to see some wells run dry and either be replaced with new wells that have higher associated costs or not be replaced at all. Either of these would cause the price at the pump to rise. When the price of gasoline rises, people naturally buy less of it; the amount of this reduction being determined by the amount of the price increase and the consumer's elasticity of demand for gasoline. This does not necessarily mean that people will drive less (though it is likely), it may mean that consumers trade in their SUVs for smaller cars, hybrid vehicles, or cars that run on alternative fuels. Each consumer will react to the price change differently, so we would expect to see everything from more people bicycling to work to used car lots full of Lincoln Navigators.

  13. according to the myan calender, we don't have much time to use up the rest of the oil.

    but you never know.

maybe the next president will think of something we need to do to help fix the mess we made, instead of how he can get rich quick.

  14. no but our society will have to change drastically in a very short amount of time....

  15. when we run out of oil, the world will realise that there are many other recources to use

  16. I am sure we will find out a new way to make fuel before that happens

  17. Of course not.We will have to rely on Heavy Horses and self-sufficiency.

  18. did it stop before we learned to extract the oil from the earth. of course it won't end but things will get tough and we may devolute a little.

  19. No, the world will not end. Mankind has existed for thousands of years without depending on oil. Maybe we'll find it difficult at first. Maybe we'll go back doing things the simple way, or the harder way. But we'll eventually find another means to never depend on oil. Mankind is an ingenious race. It will think of something, sooner or later.
