  1. No...the economy is not as bad as people say it is.  It is not a crisis.  Yes things are bad. And yeah many are suffering.  I will not deny that.  The world won't fall apart.  There are controls to make sure we don't go into a depression and other countries count on our nation's economy to be strong b/c they depend on our country's strength.  Also gas prices..they'll go down.  Oil just went down lately.  In fact, I was taking a look at NBC news and it had good news..oil went down to 120 per barrel. -That was an estimate...real price is about 125 barrel.  That's a 20 dollar -barrel drop.  http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5hhJ5...  Of course I view the news with caution, but its a great sign :).  And oh yeah the housing market is said that it would take months to recover (according to government official)..so instead of years, months.  And if we can finally lift some subsidies, farmproduct prices could go down (food prices).

Hope I helped you. ANd I hope Mr. (Mike] Fitzpatrick is right--- "The market has stabilized." (from the article. Agency France-Presse news).
