  1. We will see a major effect on supplies in 50 years time. There is enough oil to last around 200 more years, but it will be the last of it and it will be very difficult to extract.

  2. The market is forcasting 35-45 years.

Oil is everything it is usedin most things we buy.

    Plastick, paint ect.

  3. Yes the world WILL run out of oil.  There is not an unlimited amount !

    50-100 years or sooner depending.

  4. I was speaking with JR Ewing yesterday and he said there is only enough oil to last until teatime next Tuesday.

  5. Sure eventually sooner than later, and just think all that oil they pump out and we burn up in the atmosphere is causing the poles to dry up,and melt because they replace the oil they take with salt water. The water has to come from some place, right. So now you know why global warming is happening.

  6. you can buy bio fuels, run your car on fry oil chicken poo,LPG get your car converted for around 800 pound, why wait

  7. Yes oil will run out. We are using it up at a phenomenal rate and no more is being made. The cup will run dry but exactly when is open to debate. What you can be sure of is long before that time is reached oil will become so expensive it will no longer be a viable energy source for our everyday use and products made from it will soar in price.

  8. I think running out of food and water will be bigger problem, but yes we've gone past peak oil.

-and the world just gets thirstier.

  9. yes, itsa non-renewable resource, but dono when becaus there is still a new section at the north pole ready to be mined, America and Russia are competing for the oil there...

  10. it is at the peak of a curve that is going to rapidly decline in the next 6 or 7 years

It will never be fully depleted, just cost more and more/ be more difficult to mine, and therefore become more expensive. Which will eventually mean that only the rich people with "vintage" petrol cars and companies with expensive petrol-driven equipment will be able to afford it

  11. Yes it will.  In the next 5-10 years we will reach 'peak oil' which means that there will be no more new oil to find so it will just be a countdown to 'NO oil'
