Will there be a 5th season of lost?

i know they ended the fourth with the "lost 8" being found. but are they going to go back to the island for the 5th season? and when will it start?

Yes, there will be a fifth and sixth season of Lost, and then they will end it.  There were six people, not eight who were found.  They are called the Oceanic Six and consist of :Jack, Kate, Hurley, Aaron (Claire's Baby), Sun, and Sayid.  The fifth season will start beginning of 2009.

I know there is a fifth season, but they usually don't start until the mid season like January or Feb. Lost also confirmed a few months ago that they will be on for 3 more seasons then they are ending. This is straight from the lost creators.

Yes - two more seasons.

Season 5 starts late Jan or perhaps Feb.

Exact location of main action is not known, but would expect the island to still be the focus of the show.
