I've seen some cars that smoke come out from those things, I don't Know what they are called, and I wished that there will be a car that cannot pollute our air.

  1. there are some pollution free cars. hydrogen fuel cells would be a good example, the problem is generating the hydrogen. another problem is because they use platinum in the fuel cell they are very expensive and if they just burn the hydrogen in a conventional internal combustion engine there will still be nitrous oxide emissions.

  2. It all depends on how close to zero pollution you demand.  By the standards of many contributors to Yahoo Answers, every single thing thats man made causes global warming.  For example, if there was some carbon burned in the process of driving to work at a factory where your job was to assemble 100% electric drive automobiles, then the end product of your labors is not pollution free.

But I would say if the hydrogen powered car ever hits the road it will be pretty close to pollution free, since the primary byproduct of combustion will be plain old water.

  3. Yes

Solar power, but it does not work well at night.

Wind power, but it does not work well on calm days.

The ancient Flintstone car, that you pedal.

    I have seen quadrocycles also.

  4. There's going to be a car coming out that doesn't pollute, at least not the first 40 miles that you drive it!  GM is supposed to be making a plugin electric car that runs the first 40 miles on electricity that you charge in your garage, and after that it runs on gas.  Now if you can get that electricity from renewable energy, like solar panels on your house, then that is a car that doesn't pollute!

  5. Solar powered vehicles I suppose - but d**n that will be very expensive - we can't afford it yet for public - pollution is not only from vehicles - garbage we made and throw every is also a form of pollution - the destroyer of environment such as human digging the oil rigs - that is pollution - the oil spill over in the ocean - human civilization that is a greater pollution - this will run into a long list if I go on and on

  6. as long as the government controls cars and oil there will not be such a thing although it can be done

  7. Considering that carbon dioxide is now officially a greenhouse gas and regulated as a pollutant, even a bicycle causes pollution. Every time you exhale you're polluting according to your federal government. Welcome to modern America!

  8. Ther was one back in the late 90's that was zero emissions, and did not pollute the air. It was made by Saturn for GM it was called EVO. But GM pulled it reclaimed all the cars and destroyed them.

  9. hydrogen cars create zero pollution.

they just burn hydrogen. hydrogen plus oxygen = water.

a lot of hydrogen cars are on the market right now

  10. Please watch the movie Who Killed the Electric Car. It is a documentary based on an electric car that was released to the public years ago. Several celebrities owned one, but had to give it back due to the fact that the car was becoming popular and there was a govt. scandal about the gas stations and oil companies going out of business. Tis a tragic end, and a sad truth. But watch the film, maybe in a day of desperation, when pollution has reached it's peak, they'll bring out the old thing.

I prefer to stick to a bike. And I do have a car, but for stricktly emergency purposes only. Anyway, that's my say.

  11. Even Electric cars pollute. It is the laws of Physics. It takes a certain amount of power to move anything from one place to the other. If you use power, you pollute, unless you use gravity only as the source of power.

It also takes power just to make a car which causes pollution, so even the car that uses gravity and only goes down hill still pollutes.

Even walking or running, you are polluting because you exhale CO2.

The only way to eliminate pollution is to do nothing, not even breath.

  12. of course. after there will be no more fossil fuels

  13. LOL Tailpipe?

You already have several choices. Electrics are getting more sophisticated every year.  Pneumatic power is just getting started. Hydrogen produces clean water as its only byproduct. Of course, it takes energy to make any of those work, which would have to come from wind or solar or geothermal or wave energy. But it CAN be done if you have the $$$.

  14. i watched it on dicovery channel..there are hydrogen powered cars and even compressed air powered cars...but there not out yet and if they were, we'd still have to spend energy compressing air and making these kinda of cars..it will help car emission rates go down, but not the overall damage that were doing to the earth
