Will there be a dark knight 2 movie?

the first one was AMAZING

and it ended like it could continue.

number 1...The Dark Knight was pretty much part two.  It was the sequel to Batman Begins.

number 2...Yes there will be more.  Heath Ledger will be replaced by Johnny Depp.

number 3...Christian Bale (Batman/Bruce Wayne) stated that if ever Robin is ever written into any of the future films, he will quit.

yes there will be a third batman(dark knight) movie, it's coming out in 2011 and they still don't know who will direct or if the same team will be making it,also if they bring back joker played by someone else or just bring in different bad guys and no joker. just go to www.411mania.com there is some sort of story up there.

The guy that played the Dark Knight (Christian Bale) did not die.  

It was Heath Ledger who played the Joker.  

As for making the next one, Joker will definitely be absent from the movie.  If he is actually in it, then it's not going to be as good as Ledger's performance. And the only reason this movie pushed the box office limits is because of the hype due to his death.  

I understand, that when in costume, Batman has had a huskier, gruff voice throughout the series of movies and cartoons, but seriously, Bale needs to stop the "I can't breathe through this mask voice"  It's so annoying.

uhhh.... considering that the Dark Knight is a sequel....

and yeah, I would count on it. they wouldn't pass up the chance to make that much money. obviously the joker won't be around, but they will carry the story on.

Are you kidding?  This movie just became the second highest grosser in history.  Only the end of the earth or the second coming of Christ perhaps could stop them from making another one.  But unlike the last time, they won't dump their main star (like they did with Michael Keaton) and hire a bull**** director to ruin the series.  They are going to come back and use the same cast, same director, and find a good story.  It might cost them more to keep Christian Bale the next time out, but it will be worth it (even if they have to pay him 100 million) like they were paying Tom Cruise before he lost his mind to Scientology!

batman's story will never end.

but a movie with the exact same cast of actors and title might not happen.

there will be a third movie though.  its in the FAQ of the Dark Knight page.  Christian Bale (the batman actor) is in contract for three movies.  idk if batman begins counts as one (hope not, i'd love to see two more movies)

many rumors of new villian.  obviously not the joker (rip leger) but commonly said twoface's death is a cover up, or catwoman.  (when batman asks morgan freeman if the new suit will stop a dog, he replies it could stop a cat).

personally i hope its not something lame like the penguin (seriously??)

and would love to see how far they'd be willing to take the insanity of a deformed ex-politician's rage for revenge.
