I see you have opposing answers here, and NO one can know other than  the MOUSE execs.

   Disney is a Machine. It functions by way of profit, once a THING is no longer profitable, they move on.

   Personally I wish they had never made # 1, much less sequels, but that's just an opinion. Some of us in the craft will pray, not another.  I worked for them longer than I should have had the moral sense to.

yes, there will be high school musical 4, it is under production now. they will premiere it if the 3rd HSM will be a success. The HSM 4 will be premiere but the 6 original casts will not be there, the casts there is the new sophomores of the HSM 3. I am so glad that there will be HSM 4. Wildcats you rock!!!!

Yes there will be. No matter what anyone says, they have decided that there will be a fourth installment of High School Musical. The original cast won't be back but there will be a High School Musical 4.
