  1. No.  The US population is stable.  The only source of continued population growth is from immigration.  Yet another reason to stop illegal immigration.  Illegal aliens are the only reason the US will ever be overpopulated.

  2. Not if people listen.  There would be less babies unwed mothers who are unable to take care of their babies financially and emotionally.  There would be less STDs.  There would be less single parent homes.

Abortion is a poor option for birth control.  It doesn't make any difference if you support it or are against it.  The emotional distress of most woman having an abortion is not a good alternative.

Teaching abstinance makes sense.  Handing out birth control in schools is the equivalent of handing out cigarettes and telling kids that smoking is dangerous but if you do at least use a filter.

CLYDE:  How many die from complications from legal abortions each year?

  3. and YOUR with  problem with children is...?

  4. Only if the libs still refuse to keep their legs shut

  5. US has a negative birth growth.  It needs the illegal aliens and the legal aliens to bring it up to a positive birth growth.  With the Baby boomers entering retirement, the US needs a larger population to cover social security and medicare costs.  Look beyond the end of your nose.

  6. Abortion will still be on the law books until the Supreme Court overturns it. Then it'll be up to the individual states to decide. At best this could take several years for any type of change to happen. It all depends on court challenges and appeals.

  7. No. Abortion is a very poor method of birth control and is declining in popularity. And abortion cannot be outlawed by a president or vice president. Not even congress. The supreme court handles that. Along with the right to keep and bear arms.

According to the liberals, if we all had the right to carry we would all shoot each other and the population would go down.

So it should come out about even.

  8. No because many, many women will die trying to have an illegal abortion just as was the case when it was illegal previously.

One 1932 study estimated that illegal abortions or complications from them were the cause of death for 15,000 women each year. Current, more conservative, estimates of the death toll still stand at between 5,000 and 10,000 deaths per year.

  9. No because abstinence worked so well for Sarah Palin's teenage daughter.

  10. All it will do is promote illegal abortions, people will do abortions in their home or cross the border and have it done in Canada. Teaching abstinence is like trying to teach a dog not to touch a beefsteak that's 2 inches from his face, we are made of flesh and and we are weak! I believe in teaching safe s*x, at least it's realistic.

  11. I love kids, I have 4

  12. The young will be Republicans and with good reason

  13. VOTE FOR OBAMA

  14. There is already an overpopulation problem in the world. I don't think McCain or Obama will take any steps to correct the issue...

Just for the record, I agree with your implied belief that anti-abortion philosophies and abstinence-only education are not helping to solve the issue.

I don't know what should be done to correct the growing population problem, I just know people much smarter than me SHOULD be doing something...I don't see anyone coming out with ideas in the near future, simply because the idea of population control is something most people don't like, and whoever suggested it would quickly become very very unpopular in the public eye.
