Will there be another MMA Elite XC event on CBS?

I think they really blew it, and on their first broadcast show! Kimbo's fight was obviously rigged, some fights were stopped WAY to early and it took way too long to get matches underway. It was supposed to be a 2 hour show but it ended up dragging up to 40 or 45 minutes more than it should have. So do you think cbs is done with elite xc, or what?

  1. They have a 4 show contract, so that leaves the option for 3 more to come. Elite XC does not have the tallent pool to put on 3 more shows that get good ratings, its that simple.

Plus some of the other organizations have events coming out soon as well. Affliction has the Fedor Emilienekno v Tim Silvia fight, WEC just aired Pulver v Faber, and UFC has the finale of the reality series which airs a few fights as well. All 3 of these shows put EXC way down the list of viewing and CBS will dump them before the contract is up.

  2. The shows always go over 2hrs.  The WEC went over nearly 30 minutes Sunday night.

Anyway, yes there will be another one thanks to the great ratings it got.

  3. i hope not that sucked two bullcrap stoppages.docs where caring a little to much about safety.a poke and a gross ear pop it only blood. fcf

  4. As bad as the show was, I believe they have a 4 or 5 fight deal with CBS. So we will see more. The quality of the shows can only improve in my opinion. They hit rock bottom on the first shot. Elite XC is slightly better than The Iron Ring, and slightly worse than Yamma Pit Fighting.

  5. You guys are way too harsh, cut them some slack, i do agree that the stopped a few fights alittle early. I only wish that they hadn't stop the fight over a piddley poked eye, but hopefully they will fix the production and p***y doctors problems and if not at least it opened the door to more primetime fights for those of us that are broke.

  6. I hope they do-this time the main event would be Gina Carano in a bikini against whoever

  7. it was shite

  8. I think they have to but it will be based show by show.......They got a 4.7 viewer rating you have to try it again to try and get that number

  9. That was the most horrible show ever. I used my DVR and watched just the fights and it was over in about 40 minutes. The show lasted almost three hours. Horrible!

If CBS wants to redeem themselves, they should go with WEC or UFC or something with decent fighters and fights. The production would be 100 times better that way too.
