  1. 1. Faith is what I feel for the invisible pink unicorn.

    2. That's right, and God will hate that.  Luckily, I can fall back on my faith for the invisible pink unicorn.

    3.  It doesn't matter, the Bible isn't true.

  2. In heaven you will KNOW

In heaven you will have faith as you will believe in the goodness of God, Just as you have faith your parents will look after you for example.

  3. haha Heaven... i remember believing in that concept... I'd like to say "kids..." but it seems there are grown adults still believing this stuff

  4. It means heaven doesn't really exist and is a fake carrot we dangle in front of people to make them conform to a patriarchally-defined society and religion.

Read the rest of the verse instead of only looking at the last part...

  5. If you define "faith" as belief without proof, then there won't be any faith in Heaven. Everyone will see God daily.

  6. 1) Willful ignorant insanity.

    2) No god, so this is moot.

    3) It means, man are you suckers for believing this nonsense.

  7. I was going to answer this question thoughtfully, but then noticed that you'd characterized people (mostly non-Christian responders) as trolls and dummies... Way to set an example of Christ-like behavior, bro.

  8. Heaven is an imaginary place for religious people to believe in while the thief of the night slips in through the backdoor and steals the rest of their credibility.

Religion is only there to allow easily lead people to gather together in one place long enough to be instructed by their unelected leaders.

It promotes war, famine and disaster for everyone except the leading elite, who just get richer and richer and richer.

Your reward, of course, is paid `post demise`. A simple trick, but effective !

EDIT: Look, if you do not like the answers, do not pose the questions. This is a global forum and despite the statistics that the Christians like to bandy about, there are not that many of them. I regularly travel across two of the most highly populated continents on this planet, Europe and Asia and I know of no regularly practising Christians. Most people are atheists. My guess is that the primary reason for this is education. As that goes up, religion goes down.

For example : If you were offered work by an organisation that offers to pay you only after your recently deceased body begins to decompose, would you take the job ?

Now do you see where education comes in with regard to making simple decisions ?

  9. convert to pastafarism

  10. Faith will not be needed in heaven

(1 John 3:2 - we will see Jesus as He is, thus faith is rewarded by sight of Him.  1 Peter 1:9 - We receive the END of Faith at the redemption of our souls).

Faith is the godly quality the Holy Spirit gives us to receive Jesus as our Savior (step 1)

Hope, to the Christian, is the quality that God puts within us when we are saved, the knowledge of an eternal life in heaven to come (step 2).

Love in the fullest is that which we will experience when we arrive in Heaven and meet our God (step 3).

Upon our entry into Heaven, Faith will be fulfilled in sight.  Hope will be fulfilled by being in the presence of God.  Love will be fulfilled in it's best at God's throne.

  11. I'm an atheist, but I think I can help (though I don't know the exact scriptures you refer to).

I think, if there is a heaven, then faith wouldn't be needed. Faith is held in the face of proof, and, in heaven, you would have proof, and wouldn't need faith. Same with hope. Hope means that you are unsure if something will turn out alright, or unsure it will get better. You need no hope in the perfection that would be heaven.

Love would probably be the only one of the three that actually remains. Maybe it means faith will be confirmed, hope will be rewarded, and love will be boundless?

Then again, that's just an atheists perspective, and it may be a little biased, though I tried to keep my own beliefs seperate.

  12. That's a great question.

I suspect you won't need faith, because you will know.  Faith is something we have on earth as a test.

  13. Point 2 is correct: seeing face to face, faith will be fulfilled and thus obsolete. Ditto hope.

Point 3 (re: 1 Cor 13:13) refers only to life in this physical manifestation.

Love sounds as if it should be the only one to endure beyond the physical, but it can also become fulfilled in its complement and thus become obsolete per se.

  14. 1. Believing in nonsense

    2. God doesn't exist

    3. More nonsense

@Gecko: so what you're saying is you want to post somewhere where everyone agrees with you instead of calling you out. If you have credible evidence for what you believe, trot it out. Until then, you deserve to be called out.

  15. Yeah, it's working sooooooo well down here.
