  1. I have used both in the past without conflict. One is a firewall, the other is an antivirus program, so they each do their job without interfering with each other. If you plan to use a version of zonealarm that comes with antivurus built in (ZA security suite comes bundled with Kaspersky) it will ask you if you want the antivirus capability enabled. In this case you should answer "no".

  2. no they will run together ~BUT they tend to conflict by picking each others program up as a "virus",

they then isolate "in a vault"

over a period (unless you keep emptying "the vault") you will steadily lose memory.

try instead ~keep avg install "ccleaner" this removes all temp files and cookies left by browsing .(run at least weekly)

freeing up memory and helping to speed your browsing up.

you already have a windows fire wall

    hope this helps
