Will there ever be a day when people won't be so selfish? Is it really too much to ask for that we respect?

Selfish as in all that person can do is think about their own feelings. Who treat others with disrespect only because they happen to be in a "mood". Who can't put themselves in other peoples' shoes. Have any type of sympathy for anyone else...not even sympathy...just any regards for others well being! why is it that someone can die in an ER and employees and even other patients look on and do nothing? When will people stop behaving like inconsiderate @$$holes!! Its not that hard to do people!

  1. Everybody HAS THE CAPACITY to be selfish. They also have the capacity to be generous. And no, there will always be selfish people. BECAUSE of that capacity that everyone carries with them. However, how the heck do you know that ER employees do ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to save people's lives? What makes you think that there is a lack of good in this world? Believe it or not, there are lots more unselfish people in the world than selfish ones. Stop being so arrogant.

  2. I work in he E/R and I can't tell you the nights I have come home just sick to death at the endless stream of people that we cannot help.

Also what a human will do to another, or themselves.

Every time the doors open, it is on. We do the best we can for as many as possible, and yes you are correct, many have burned out years ago and should have gotten out of the profession, they have lost all compassion.

But as the article stated our Medical system is in shambles, people coming to the E/R to be treated, because they have no insurance or get the run around from Insurance Companies.  We definitely need an overhaul.

I salute all the hard workers, and the ones that still do care...from the EM T's, Firefighters, Police, and medical staff....I am glad that there is someone there when you need them.....got to go to work now.....I ,do care ,and will do everything possible to help you and your family in a time of crisis...And I will treat everyone, the way I would want to be treated!

    Thank you for your question.
