Question:

Will there soon be bans on certain types of vehicle usage?

I have heard talk that cars older than a certain year might one day be barred from travel on certain city roads. Or, prohibitively costly dis-incentives might apply to high CO2 output (=h.p.) vehicles, like SUV's, large pick-up trucks and 8 cylinder land yachts. Do you think enviro-laws might soon make it too expensive to drive large vehicles?

  1. There may never be a ban on a particular type vehicle whether new, old, large or small.  There may be a ban eventually because there are just too many cars on the road. Lets hope our infrastructure holds up and that mass transportation develops into a meaningful alternative.

  2. CAFE standards state that cars by 2012 MUST have 35 MPG or better or they will not pass the emissions test. Sucks huh? SUVS, vans, and sports cars will be the first to go if the big companies don't innovate something soon.
