It depends on what you want to do.

If you want the program guide, show info, etc. you'll need to wait for CABLECARD2 to come out, which is speculated for next year.

For the time being, you can, but I'm warning you the technology will be outdated in a little bit. It's called Cablecard. It's only capable of downstream data, so no guide or show info, or on demand services.
