Will these bees attack me?

There is a little alleyway near where I live. Now it is summer. the alley is nearly over-grown with sugary flowers, and the bees love it.

There are often quite a few buzzing around there. These are European Honey bees. (smaller and friendlier than American and African bees)

If i walk down there, calmly and ignoring the bees, will they leave me alone? or dive bomb me till im lying on the floor covered in bee stings?

  1. They won't bother you unless you are wearing csent or a scented deodarant, because they willmistake it for the scent from a flower.

  2. Bees will NOT attack you unless you are threatening their hive in some way.  They are far, far more interested in the flowers than you.  If you do not bother them, they will not bother you.

Now, if you're a girl, and you wear perfume and bright colored cloths, they might occasionally fly close to check you out.  If you stand still and do NOT wave your arms about and run, they will investigate, realize you are not a flower, and fly away.  I taught my wife this, and she lost her fear of Bumble Bees.

Many times I've put my finger close to a bee on a flower and allowed it to climb on.  It did me no harm whatsoever.  Bees are sweet, gentle creatures, so your fear is completely unfounded.

  3. just dont make fast sudden moves go against the wall on go very slowly like ur on a cliff

  4. if u bother them then they will. just leave them alone

  5. if they r friendly than american bees u will b fine

  6. They will only attack you if you attack or become a threat to them.

Honey bees are usually very dosile.

  7. European honey bees aren't going to 'attack' you. You'll be fine.

  8. Bees on flowers are collecting pollen, they usually are just minding their own business.  Ignore them and they should ignore you.  If you look on their legs you can see the pollen they are collecting.

  9. They should not bother you unless they have also located their hive in the alley.  Watch them for awhile and see where they go when they leave the flowers.  When they return to the hive they make a "bee line" towards the hive as opposed to just wandering while collecting honey.

  10. Leave you alone, as long as you don't bother them.
