Will these ideas save GM?

NO million dollar executives. GM has had them and they have driven the company into the ground all the while, lining their personal accounts without keeping the company moving up!

Separate the divisions again and have separate style studios so that there is competing products within GM, so no matter which division wins, GM wins

NO MORE drum brakes on automobiles

Bring back control of all aspects of production

Eliminate white collar, un-needed workforce.

Re-open closed factories and export product, not jobs!

Traveling Style and Concept botique. This will get public atention and give designers a CLEAR path to follow for sales success!

Design contests. To pique public interest and to get new, fresh ideas

Design school scholarships with job contracts. Italy, Japan, England, Detroit, New York and L.A.

I couldn't even get through it there was so much, but it's simpler than all that. They need to:

1) Stay close to their customers and anticipate rather than react to what they want

2) Pay attention to making money rather than cutting cost

3) Get rid of unions and union mentalities and replace it with a strong team culture from CEO to Janitor that are all focused on obtaining the same goals.

For decades the Big 3 have had the mentality, we'll make it they'll buy it, if they don't like we'll cut cost and white collars will s***w blue collars.

You couldn't run a decent ice cream stand with that mentality let alone a billion dollar industry.

I think the rel problem is the current foreign trade policy !! how can you import millions without any exports? it's a plan for failure and the repercussions just trickle downward ! GM as well as other company's are basically foreign  cars at the moment... another examole that we ( the U.S.) allow foreign products in but... other countries do not accept our exports!!! It's just very dumb business and a degree has NOTHING to do with it
