  1. Your receiver will be fine, go for it.

  2. good

  3. No worries.  It's only when the speakers have a significantly Ohm rating (i.e. 4 Ohms as opposed to 8 Ohms) that is lower than the receiver or amp Ohm rating is when it would be a concern.  The only result with a set-up that the speakers have a higher Ohm rating than he receiver might be that your receiver may not produce as much power to your speakers because the load is less and thus draws less from the amp.  Really, you are fine with that set-up.

  4. it might be ok, but the receiver might overheat, or maybe shut off completely after a while

  5. JBL makes great speakers so you will be just fine - the receiver can go down to 6 ohms - so 8 ohms is no problem - go for it.  Your receiver will not overheat unless you play it at full volume for a long period of time.  Those speakers are perfect for that receiver.

People worry too much about specifications in general and matching up components.  Pretty much any good quality home audio speaker will work with any receiver.   With any audio system, put a good amount of money into the speakers - you will not be disappointed.  Also look for product reviews online before any purchase.
