  1. the box dimensions are good for the subs, but the amp is too small

here are your wiring options http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer... so you can get a 1 or 4ohm load at the amp

so the amp needed will have about 700watts RMS @ 1 or 4ohms and is also CEA-compliant

this should help with picking your wires http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/S-NR0v... you could use 8gauge but i recommend nothing smaller than 4gauge (if you want to upgrade in the future it would have been more time/cost effective to go with the thicker wire in the first place)

Caps are a waste of cash, if your light dim noticibly with your sounds on and your AC and/or rear defrost then you need a larger alternator, the capacitor will just put more strain on your stock charging system

any of these CEA-compliant brands would be good for an amp because they have all been tested and produce or exceed the advertised RMS wattage with minimum distortion

    Alpine

    Bazooka

    Blaupunkt

    Clarion

    Eclipse

    Infinity

    JBL

    JL Audio

    Kenwood

    Kicker

    MTX

    Pioneer

    Polk Audio

    Rockford Fosgate

    Sony

most CEA-compliant amps are not stable below 2ohms (i know that fosgate amps are)

  2. nope, you messed up with the amp dude. that amplifier is not 1 ohm stable. if you do use this amplifier, it will go into thermal/protect mode very often when the volumen is high. it can also blow fuses.

its better if you can get an amp to either be

    --700 watts rms x 1 channel @ 1 ohm

    or

    --350 watts rms x 2 channels @ 2 ohms

the subwoofers are dual 4 ohm voice coils. this means they can be wired down to 2 ohms each. or have them both wired to 2 ohms and then a final 1 ohm load.

check this site on instructions how to wire the subs, i just helped a guy with a similar question.
