1. Yes, they are a pretty good match. It does not hurt a thing to have a amp that can produce more power than the speaker can handle this is why we have adjustment k***s. You will actually have higher sound quality from a amp does not have to work to 100% of its ability.

Why Sony? Sony amps are known to fail and their woofer just are not very good. You can buy a better system for the same $.I see you are looking on ebay, you can get a loaded Kicker box and a Alpine amp from ebay for the same price and maybe less. You may want to try searching ebay for some KICKERS. Trust me a pair of Kickers will destroy those Sonys.

  2. yep, that will work, but the subs will be under powered, not buy a whole lot though. youll have bass, but your not gonna be turning heads thats for sure.

you can do alot better in the sub department in my opinion.. kenwood isnt very good

  3. its always better to overpower a speaker a little than to underpower it. turning up the volume on an speaker that has a higher watt rating than the amp will cause the amp to produce clipping due to the lack of power it can supply to the speaker, eventually blowing it out. as long as the ohm loads match and the rms rating of the amp is at least 3/4 the rms rating of the sub or speaker you will be okay.

  4. The amp in question would work just fine, considering it has a MAX output of 800W, which it would probably never get to.

If people would research before they answer questions, "Lover not a fighter" would have realized that the amp can put out 170W rms, PER CHANNEL.

The speakers can take 600W MAX when they are PAIRED!

Alone, the speakers in this box are rated to handle 150-200w continuous per speaker.

If you get that amp, you would still have a power curve to play with even if you wanted to bridge the set of speakers.

But, the simple answer is yes, they will work just fine.

  5. yea they will work 800 watts is going to be divided by 2 subs 400 and even at that 800 is the max that it can push but you shouldnt have your amp that high cause you will burn it out. I highly recommend that you dont buy that sony xploid amp they are trash. they will work then just burn out causing you to buy another one. go with a mtx amp there is one that is 800 watts

  6. NOPE,

The speaker can only handle 600 WATT. The amp can put out 800 WATT. It is always safe to get speakers that are rated at HIGHER watts than what your amp is rated.

    Good Luck...
