  1. Its not just physical, you also have to take the ASVAB which is the academic test. I also suggest practice running 3 miles because they test you on that and you need to be able to do more than 5 pull ups.

  2. The Marines PT test consists of:

3 mile run in less than 28min for a male and less tha 31 for a female

Minimum of 50 crunches in 2min, max is 100. (See a recruiter for the proper USMC crunch)

Minimum pull up is 3, arms locked out completely.

Join the Marines if you think you have what it takes, mind, body, and soul. You wont get "slaughtered" at boot camp for only doing 5 pull-ups. You will get stronger, and possibly impove your pull ups greatly.

    Stay motivated.

  3. A whole 30 pushup huh? keep working friend.  You should be able to do closer to 50 or 60 in a minute, and at least 15 to 20 pull-ups.

  4. Yes. They will allow you to ship out with a minimum of TWO pullups.

However. your going to get SLAUGHTERED at basic. and youll probally want to give up in about... 24 hours.

I would SERIOUSLY consider another branch to get into. 30 pushups isnt much man. that doesnt even qualify you for the AIR FORCE or NAVY.
