Like after Return of the Jedi

I watched Episode 3 today...and I hope they do.

To see Luke and Leia with kids, cause I heard they did have kids. Leia has em with Han and Luke has 1 with Mara? I think.

Do you think they will in time? I know George Lucas is done making them but do you think someone else might?

  1. I will only be ok with that if Lucas is dead... as long as he is alive there is a chance that he will get involved and ruin it.

  2. I loooved the Star Wars Series, but they're not gonna make anymore to the series. Everyone is pretty much dead. But wow, that series was amazing! My favorite was the 3rd one: The Revenge of the Sith.

  3. God I hope not

  4. Short Answer:   No. There will be no more Star Wars live action movies no matter how much fans want them or how many insane rumors you hear floating around the net ... there will be no more Star Wars movies ... end of story.

Long Answer:  When Lucas first came up with the idea for "Star Wars" he envisioned it as a 12 part story that would be told in a similar fashion as the old Flash Gordon series. It didn't take him long to realize it wouldn't work that way so it got cut down to a 9 part story. The first trilogy was to be about the rise and fall of Anakin Skywalker. The second trilogy was to be about the rise of Luke Skywalker and the redemption of Anakin Skywalker. The third trilogy was to be about the "other" Skywalker that Yoda mentions in The Empire Strikes Back.  A little known fact is that up until Lucas was almost done writing the script for ep VI Leia was NOT the "other Skywalker". Lucas got stumped on what he could have Vader say to Luke near the end of their duel that would make Luke attack his father in a dark side fueled rage. To solve this problem he made Leia the "other Skywalker" and had Vader threaten her. This change did two things: 1) Made a lot of fans go "eewwww" ... he kissed his sister on the lips; 2) It eliminated the third trilogy. Lucas has many times stated that the story he wanted to tell has been told. If you watch the "extras" disk that comes with the DVD set of the OT you hear him say this many times. He says it in a 60 Minutes interview he did shortly after the release of ep III. In that interview he is asked two or three times if there will be anymore new movies and if he would let someone else pick up where he left off and make more movies ... his answer each time is that same ... NO. History has showed us that Lucas changes his mind with the wind direction sometimes and a statement made over 2 years ago is suspect except for one thing ... his answer has never changed ... it is always a flat out NO. If you think about it it is a big accomplishment for the man.  As for somebody picking up the story and taking it forward after Lucas dies ... NO is the answer to that question also no matter what anybody else says. He states this many times in that same 60 Minutes interview.

As for the "rumor" mentioned by "markwillstar" ...  he has finally revealed his true nature with this rumor of his:   "A guy ran into Lucas on a beach in 2005 soon after Ep 3 hit theaters and asked him if he was done with Star Wars. Lucas said at the time that he was at least for the time being .  He asked Lucas if he did another would it be a sequel or a prequel and lucas said that the story line he might someday consider is the end of the Sith Wars 800 years before Ep 1 involving a very young Yoda"

This rumor can be traced back to the insane ramblings of Mickey Suttle and his fraud site supershadow.com. This guy is a grade A number 1 fraud and "whack" job ... how he stays out of a padded room I'll never know. This guy is so far gone that he has even faked up hundreds of emails, that he has posted on his site, that are supposed to be conversations between him and Lucas ... they are all pure fiction. Mickey also claims to be an "insider" at LucasFilm and good "buddies" with George himself. Neither of those claims are true either. The only people that he knows from LucasFilm are the lawyers because he has been slapped with so many "get that c**p off your site before we crush you like the bug you are" suits that nobody even knows the total anymore.  After swearing up and down that SuperShadow was a fraud he now goes and spews one of his insane rumors out. Oh, by the way ... the last "Great Sith War" was 1020 years before the battle of Yavin, as told in the book Darth Bane: Path To Destruction ... kind of hard for a young Yoda to be the hero of the series when he wouldn't have even been born yet.

I do have to apologize for using your question to finally bust this guy but he had it coming.

May The Force Be With You ...

To "markwillstar":  Now that you've proven yourself to be a member of SuperShadows Goon Squad I almost feel like I wasted all the time I have spent recently looking into the other claim you make here ... the one about Lucas thinking of using the Thrawn Trilogy of books as a new episode 7 - 9. I do notice that you've stopped using the "secret forgotten warehouse" line though ... of course the research I did into all of this proved that to be another of your insane ideas ... the part about him wanting to use the Thrawn Trilogy is right ... however ... Lucas talked to one cast member and the whole idea went out the door because that person was not willing to reprise the role ... Harrison Ford. It's not that he didn't or doesn't like the role ... how could he not as it was the role that put him on the map ... he just doesn't want to reprise that role.

See you in your next ID ... "markwillstar" is now totally discredited. Do all of us real Star Wars fans a favor and don't come with a new one.

  5. well i know 2 things

in 1995 Lucas thought "Heir to the Empire" set 5 years after ROTJ would be a great idea for 7-9

I wish he had done them.

but he might have waited too long to cast the same people again.

    Also

A guy ran into Lucas on a beach in 2005 soon after Ep 3 hit theatres and asked him if he was done with Star Wars. Lucas said at the time that he was at least for the time being .

He asked Lucas if he did another would it be a sequel or a prequel and lucas said that the story line he might some day consider is the end of the Sith Wars 800 years before Ep 1 involving a very young Yoda

  6. They should but they won't, Episode 3 intersects into episode 4.

  7. probably, depends on who gets rights to the series and all that mumbo jumbo agreement, because in the movie business, its all about making money, and sadly, they might end up juicing out every penny that the Star Wars series can make.

  8. i heard somewhere that they are going to lucus i guess said he had and idea for a new one

  9. Wow, I hope not. Star Wars trilogy is so overrated. Hayden Christensens acting is so horrendous. He was only good in "Shattered Glass"

I hope they continue the Batman series though.

  10. watch the lord of the rings,

    you'll be bored longer.
